Job Description
Qualification & Experience
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Chemical, Industrial
Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety from a reputed university.
Experience: Not less than 10 years of experience in fire & safety field with at least 4
years in Utilities (power & water) sector.
Fluent in English correspondence. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
Computer literate and presentation skill
Requires mobile communication during normal and outside office hours for
emergency contact
Certification Requirements
Should be either CMIOSH (Chartered Member) or GradIOSH (Graduate Member)
having NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Certified
Safety Professional (CSP). Also, should have following certification trainings.
Valid First Aid Certificate
Basic Fire Fighting Certificate from recognized institute
ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training (Preferred)
Train the Trainer Certificate
COSHH
Confined Space Entry
Lifting & Rigging
Major Duties / Responsibilities
Ensures effective implementation and maintenance of safety policies and programs
to ensure occupational and personnel safety within premises & projects
Identifies safety hazards/ risks and recommends measures to mitigate them
Investigates any incident/ accidents involving personnel, plant and equipment at
premises & projects
Analyses the causes behind such accidents/ incidents, conducts preventive and
corrective safety checks as per prescribed standards and ensures readiness of all
measures to be taken
Assists in the development of safety management procedures, in compliance with all
relevant quality standards and procedural/ legislative requirements
Assists in conducting awareness sessions to educate employees / contractors about
the prevalent safety guidelines and procedures
Conduct Safety Meeting with Project consultants, contractors / sub-contractors
Act as a documentation, systems expert and provide support to the HSE Department
