Qualification & Experience
􀁸 Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Chemical or Loss
Prevention Engineering from a reputed university.
􀁸 Experience: More than 10 years of experience in loss prevention engineering. Must
have experience in Utilities (power & water) with required knowledge and background
of design, inspection, erection & commissioning of Loss Prevention systems
including evaluation and study of Fire Risk Assessments.
􀁸 Fluent in English correspondence. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
􀁸 Computer literate and presentation skill
􀁸 Requires mobile communication during normal and outside office hours for
emergency contact

Certification Requirements
Certified Fire Protection Specialist from NFPA.

Major Duties / Responsibilities
􀁸 Conduct field inspections / audits of KM facilities (office buildings, warehouse,
workshops, Substations, RPS & TFS etc.) & project construction sites.
􀁸 Review life safety designs for new projects, and upgrade of existing facilities for
compliance with KM and QCDD regulations & applicable NFPA standard
􀁸 Verification and approval of drawing submittals, site test reports, method statements,
schematics, and spare parts.
􀁸 Supervision of site activities for loss prevention related issues if required
􀁸 Witness all major pre commissioning & testing activities
􀁸 Co-ordination with contractors and consultants and KM departments for loss
prevention related activities
􀁸 Conducts technical evaluation of all materials / equipment used for Loss Prevention
Systems to ensure compliance to international standards and internal quality
standards
􀁸 Ensure Loss prevention system construction and commissioning tests are carried out
as per KM HSED specifications
􀁸 Reviews and comments on draft As-built drawings, Operation and Maintenance

􀁸 Should have valid Qatar Driving license
